Reince Priebus on people concerned about Donald Trump’s mistreatment of women, “as Christians, judging each other I think is — is problematic.”
Judging is saying you are better than someone else. However, as we will see from the bible, Christians have every right to evaualte people’s character. If people can’t try to evaulate the character of the leader of the free world our society is completely lost.
Priebus’ standard is not Christian. Here are examples from the bible of evaluating the character of others in no uncertain terms (see below)…
Jesus Being a, “Problematic” Christian
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!” (Matthew. 23:27, NIV)
“You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? (Luke 3:7, NIV)
“You blind fools!” (Matthew 23:17, NIV)
Peter Being a, “Problematic” Christian
“Your heart is not right before God.” (Acts 8:21b, NIV)
“…they are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct…” (Peter 2:12, NIV)
Paul Being a, “Problematic” Christian
“Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!” (1 Cor. 6:3)
“Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit…” (Philippians 3:2, NIV)
But Paul said to him, “God will slap you, you corrupt hypocrite! (Acts 23:3, NLT)
What is Truly, “Problematic”
What is problematic is that the name of God is being thrown in the dirt for the sake of a presidential candidate.
